Type an FNSKU to see your label.
One label at its true proportions, not to scale. The dashed line is Amazon's white space: 0.25″ at the sides, 0.125″ at the top and bottom.
Scan check: not run yet. The page tries to read each barcode back before you download it.

This FNSKU label generator makes labels for Amazon FBA on a 30-up Letter sheet or a thermal printer, with the product title and condition on every label. Amazon stopped labeling items for sellers on January 1, 2026, and from March 31, 2026 resellers must put an Amazon barcode label on every FBA unit. It runs in your browser: nothing you type is uploaded. This site is not affiliated with Amazon.

Amazon also says labels must match the formatting of the label Seller Central makes. This tool puts the barcode, the FNSKU under it, the title and the condition on each label, inside Amazon's white space. Amazon doesn't publish every measurement of its own label, so print one and compare it with a Seller Central label before your first shipment.
Where to put the label
- Cover every other barcode on the unit, except serial-number and Transparency codes.
- Put it on a flat side, not on a curve or a corner.
- Keep it at least 0.25″ from the edge of the package.
Who has to label since March 31, 2026
From March 31, 2026, resellers must put an Amazon barcode on every FBA unit, even when the product already carries a U.P.C. or EAN barcode, and products with a GTIN exemption need one too. Brand owners in Amazon's Brand Registry may still use the manufacturer barcode. Amazon's labeling service for sellers ended on January 1, 2026, so sellers print these labels themselves.
Thermal or sheet?
Seller Central prints FNSKU labels on a 30-up US Letter sheet of 1″ × 2-5/8″ labels, the size of Avery 5160, for laser printers. Its labels can also be printed on thermal printers, one label at a time from a roll.
Printer resolution limits the label width. The bars are drawn in whole printer dots, and a 203 dpi printer's dots are large: an FNSKU with bars thick enough to scan is too wide for labels under 3″, so on a 203 dpi printer use a 3″ label, or a 300 dpi printer for 2″ labels. Amazon asks for 300 dpi or more in any case.
Avoiding mix-ups
Labels for different products look alike. With many products, each one starts on a new row of the sheet, and every sheet has a line at the top, outside the labels, saying which labels belong to which FNSKU and title. Keep each sheet with its product until the units are labeled.
Questions
What size is an Amazon FNSKU label?
Amazon accepts labels between 1″ × 2″ and 2″ × 3″. Seller Central's own Letter sheet uses 1″ × 2-5/8″ labels, 30 to a sheet.
Can I print FNSKU labels on a thermal printer?
Yes. Pick a thermal label size and your printer's resolution. At 203 dpi, use labels 3″ wide.
Can I use an inkjet printer?
Amazon says not to. Use a laser or thermal printer.
Do I still need a UPC?
To list a product, Amazon usually asks for a GTIN such as a U.P.C. number. The FNSKU label goes on top for FBA. See Do I need a GS1 barcode?
Can I add an expiry date to the label?
No. Amazon asks for labels that match the formatting of the label Seller Central makes, so this tool adds no extra lines.
